WILDLIFE, MYTH, AND THE SPIRIT OF THE WEST

+RAMBLINSONG+ is the multidisciplinary studio practice of artist Toby Putnam, creating contemporary Western folk art rooted in wildlife, symbolism, and the landscapes of the American West. Working across painting, sculpture, and fine art prints, Putnam’s work draws from mythic iconography, conservation themes, and traditional folk visual language to explore humanity’s relationship with the natural world. His neo-traditional style blends bold graphic form with archetypal imagery—horses, birds, thunderbirds, serpents, and celestial motifs—while echoing the visual language of Americana, outlaw country storytelling, and tattoo-influenced folk traditions. The result is a body of work that feels both timeless and distinctly modern.
